Does my computer have a recovery partition?

CTL is now selling computers with a recovery partition; a section of your hard drive where Windows installation files are saved. The recovery partition is used instead of a restore CD.

If your computer was purchased with an OEM version of Microsoft Windows 7, and Windows 7 came preinstalled then you will have a recovery partition on your computer.

If your computer was purchase with a Microsoft Windows 7 License and CTL installed a previous version of Windows, such as Windows XP or Windows Vista you will not have a recovery partition on your computer.
