How do I disable User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7?
Issue:
UAC is a great feature to prevent malicious programs from running on your computer, but sometimes it can also prevent regular programs from working properly as well. If that is the case, here is how to disable it.
Resolution:
First, click on the Start button. From there, simply click on your user picture in the top right hand corner of the window. This will open the User Accounts section of the control panel. From there, click on "Change User Account Control settings. That will open a window with a slider bar, where you can change the level of UAC that the system is using.
