My monitor loses picture right before going into Windows

Issue:  

When video disappears after the windows loading screen and before you can log into windows.

Resolution:

It nomaly means that there is a problem with the video drivers, display resolution settings or/and refresh rate.  In this case try to boot either in "safe mode" or in "VGA mode" (usually by pressing "F8" or "F5" on startup). When the PC boots into Windows - try to adjust the resolution settings to be what the monitor native resolution is and set the refresh rate to 60Hz.

Reinstalling video drivers often fixes the issue since newer drivers are more compatible with new monitors. It is highly recommended that you use the latest graphics driver that your graphics chipset manufacturer can provide.
