CTL Products have a recovery partition with a copy of the operating system that was installed on the machine when it was first purchased. To re-install the operating system from the recovery partition, follow these steps:
**NOTE: It is highly recommended to back-up your data and files before proceeding with these steps**
Re-Installing from Boot Menu
1) Starting with the unit in the OFF position, power the unit ON.
2) When the screen displays boot options (DEL or F11 for SETUP), press F8 at this screen to enter the boot menu (you may need to press the F8 key multiple times in order to access the menu).
3) Once the boot menu diplays, choose the first option "Repair your computer".
4) On the keyboard prompt, select the appropriate region (US is selected by default) and click NEXT.
5) On the Username and Password prompt, enter the administator's login credentials if the administrator has been setup. Click NEXT. (Note: If the administrator account has not been setup, the password field will be left blank.)
6) Now Windows Installation will begin which can take several minutes to complete.
Re-Installing from Windows
1) Click the START button.
2) Directly above the START button is a blank field (Search programs and files), type the word "Recovery" in this field and press ENTER. (Note: For Windows XP users; Click the START button and choose RUN. When the command line displays, type the word "Recovery" and press ENTER.)
3) At the restore menu, choose the option to Re-Install Windows. (If this option is not displayed, choose ADVANCED RECOVERY OPTIONS toward the bottom of the screen, then choose Re-Install Windows.)
4) On the keyboard prompt, select the appropriate region (US is selected by default) and click NEXT.
5) On the Username and Password prompt, enter the administator's login credentials if the administrator has been setup. Click NEXT. (Note: If the administrator account has not been setup, the password field will be left blank.)
6) Now Windows Installation will begin which can take several minutes to complete.
