CTL Chromebook NL71CT-L - Add a Virtual Private Network

If you need to add a virtual private network (VPN) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.) from your CTL® Chromebook NL71CT-L, follow these step-by-step instructions.

From a Home screen, navigate:
Launcher
>
Settings
>
Network
.
Tap or click
Add connection
.
Tap or click
Add OpenVPN / L2TP
.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap or click
OK
.
From the 'Server hostname' field, enter the appropriate name.

Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
From the 'Provider type' field, tap or click the
Dropdown menu
(on the right) then select the VPN type:
L2P2/IPSec + pre-shared key
L2P2/IPSec + user credentials
Open VPN
Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap or click
Connect
(lower-right).

If applicable, tap or click (check)
Save identity and password
to turn on or off .
