How to Get 1.73 Gbps with the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560

What am I seeing?

The Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560 aren't connecting at the 1.73Gbps link rate.

Why am I seeing it?

This could be caused by:

• The wireless Access Point (AP) doesn't support or isn't configured to enable 160 MHz channel width (also known as HT160) and/or;
• The Intel® Wireless Adapter is configured to 20 MHz only for 5GHz channel width.

The Intel Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560 uses the 160 MHz channel width to achieve 1.73 Gbps rate.

How to fix it.

• Enable your wireless AP to support contiguous 160 MHz (or HT160) channel width.
