    Sound doesn’t work when I connect an audio device to the front panel

    Issue:

    Some audio drivers will automatically disable the front ports. If you have certain versions of the Realtek audio driver installed you may need to adjust the default settings.


    Resolution:

    To fix the issue click on the audio icon in the lower right hand corner of your screen. The audio control software will come up. Go to the Advanced tab and click on the button that looks like a wrench. A menu will pop up where you can toggle the “Disable the automatic front panel jack detection” function. This will keep both audio ports unmated. For further assistance contact CTL tech support.
